Blooming in Paris
New to Paris? The Bloom Where You’re Planted orientation program can help you adjust to your new lifestyle.
Now, in its 30th year, the Bloom project is sponsored by the Women of the American Church. Its aim is to make your transition to Paris an easier one by providing information and practical advice on a wide range of topics.
Subjects covered during the three-day seminar include legal, medical and educational matters, along with information about travel, fitness and fashion. Representatives from various organizations and schools will also be available to answer questions.
One of last year’s participants noted, “We co-ordinated our relocation at the time of Bloom because we had heard it made the adjustment to living in Paris an easier one. I certainly felt the program did this. I also built up a network of friends and found volunteer opportunities through the program.”
The three-day program costs 150F. Participants receive the “Bloom Where You're Planted” guidebook, which includes a directory of English-speaking shops and services.
