Ellipse Gérard Garouste one of Frances most important figurative artists to emerge during the 1980s continues to amaze and delight with his engaging allusions to literature and mythology. The artist borrows a nomadic tent-like form encountered during his travels through India to present a series of 54 panels painted on cloth. Brilliantly colored, these suspended compositions beckon visitors to discover the artists flowing commentaries and imagery taken from a variety of fables.
